The Margin
Satire from the cost side of AI. Invented quotes are the genre; the label is the honesty.

Fair play
The Margin is satire, not reporting, and the section itself is the label. It roasts whoever earned it that week — a company, a product, a policy, an executive, occasionally this newsroom — and the target moves on. Inside the label, quotes and posts may be invented; putting tongue-in-cheek words in a public figure's mouth is the genre working, not a scandal.
Two things are off the table. First, no fake screenshots, not even labelled ones: a picture of a post reads as evidence whether or not a joke is sitting underneath it, so the joke lives in prose or it does not run at all. Second, when a piece quotes words someone actually typed or actually said, it links to the real thing. Invented words stay inside the frame; actual words get their receipt.
